I’ve been drawn to the camera for as long as I can remember—literally. I have photos of myself taking photos at age three.

I grew up in Southwest Virginia, and at 13, during a family trip to Los Angeles, I told my parents I would graduate college and move to LA to pursue a career in film. Even before graduating from Virginia Tech, I spent my junior-year summer interning at a film agency in LA, picking up PA gigs on my days off. Within weeks, I was promoted to Camera Assistant, then quickly worked my way up to Camera Operator and Director of Photography, shooting for networks like HBO, Travel Channel, Food Network, and Discovery Channel.

Beyond television, I’ve worked on documentaries and news programs, including Spielberg (HBO), 60 Minutes, and Dateline, as well as commercial campaigns for brands like Hyatt Hotels, Walmart, and Chevy. After bouncing from show to show for a few years, I took a full-time DP role at The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where I was a founding member of the Ellen Digital Platform, bringing television-quality content to digital media. While there, I shot dozens of game shows, talk shows, and documentary-style projects, many of which earned Emmy and Webby nominations, including Momsplaining with Kristen Bell, which ran for six seasons.

Lately, I’ve been focusing more on narrative work, recently finishing a short film that screened at major festivals like Fantasia and Scream Fest, with another currently in post-production. I truly love what I do, and when I’m not on set, you’ll still find me behind the camera, shooting side projects and photography.
